Tom is the President of Sequoia Publishing, Inc. and
founded the company in March 1989. He has a Masters Degree in Geology
from the University of Texas and is a registered AAPG Geologist. He
has a broad background in engineering, computers and electronics and
has been a small business entrepreneur since 1980. Tom is the author
of Sequoia's best-selling, flagship product Pocket Ref
and has co-authored several other books since 1989. |

Roger Maves
Roger Maves is
an author, instructional designer, trainer and photographer. He has
a degree in Illustrative Photography from Brooks Institute of Photography
and worked for many years in advertising and design. He has worked
with computers for the last 20 years and has extensive experience
in both hardware and software. Roger has trained users in corporations
across the United States, both publicly and privately. He has developed
and taught courses in database programming, network installation and
administration, and custom business applications. Roger continues
to write, develop courses and train. Founder and principal of The
Knowledge Group, Inc., he specializes in thinking, creativity, innovation
and communication training. |

E. Miller
Mary Miller is
an author, editor and DTP (desk top publishing) expert for Blue Willow,
Inc. and Sequoia Publishing, Inc. She has a degree in Psychology from
the University of Colorado in Boulder and has a broad background in
finance, education and business management. |

Charles
Vander Kooi
Charles
Vander Kooi has been involved in the construction industry for over
30 years, thirteen as an upper-management employee of companies and
seventeen as a consultant. He has bid over a billion dollars in work
over his career. As a private consultant, he has helped over 1,200
companies in their estimating/bidding systems and has lectured to
over 70,000 contracting people nationally and internationally. He
speaks at an average of 100 trade shows and conventions annually,
teaching his philosophy across the U.S., Canada and Australia. His
company consults with an average of 100 clients annually to assist
in improving their performance. He has authored eight books to the
industry and his seminars are available on audio cassettes as well
as videos. |

Susan
Woodward Springer
Susan Springer is a former resident of Seldovia. Susan was reared
on the coast of Maine, in a town much like the Alaskan bush village
of Seldovia. In 1985 Susan began collecting information for the Seldovia
Alaska book which was finally published in 1997. Then in 1995
Susan also authored and illustrated "Alaska...Pure Poetry, A
Natural History Coloring Book for Children and Their Parents"
as a special feature of Alyeska's Environmental Excellence Program,
Trans Alaska Pipeline. She currently is working on a series of childrens'
books and now lives in Ketchum, ID. |

Bruce
W. Westberg
Sgt. Bruce Westberg is a law enforcement officer
with the Pima County Sheriffs Department in Tucson, Arizona.
Since 1988, Bruce has held many positions within the law enforcement
field: patrol officer, training officer, special operations officer,
police academy counselor, detective, and personnel supervisor. He
was a field training coordinator for the Sheriffs Department
which ran its own law enforcement academy. Bruce was intimately
involved in the training of the recruit officers. Later he was assigned
to the regional academy as an advisor. Throughout his career, Sgt.
Bruce W. Westberg has been involved with all aspects of law enforcement
officer recruiting, training and retention.

Millie
M. Young
Millie Young came to Sequoia in 1989 as the first hired
employee. Her 10 years of company experience has brought her many
challenges and proud accomplishments, some of which include: co-authoring
the books, Pocket PCRef and TechRef. She also does DPT
(desk top publishing) for internal company operations. With 10 years
of experience in artistic creation and graphics layout she has utilized
those accomplishments (among other things) to assist customers in
the creation of permanent custom imprinting dies. The bottom line
is that Millie, a very talented and excellent artist, enjoys the creative
outlets provided by the best place to be, a publishing company! |

Richard
A. Young
Richard
Young is an author and civil engineer. He holds a bachelor of science
degree from the University of Southwestern Louisiana, a master of
science degree from the University of California at Berkeley, and
is a registered professional engineer. He worked as a civil engineer
with the Corps of Engineers in New Orleans from 1968 to 1979 and as
a civil engineer/research engineer with the Bureau of Reclamation
in Denver from 1980 to 1994. He has worked as an author / researcher
/ compiler for Blue WIllow, Inc. since 1994. |

Dennis H. Evers
Dennis Evers is a 23-year veteran police officer. He has a degree in Criminology from Grossmont College and has completed dozens of additional specialty courses. He was a Field Training Officer for 8 years, an Academy Instructor for 8 years, an officer for the Navajo County Sheriffs Dept. for 9 years and Chief of Police, Taylor, Arizona for 3 years. He is currently an author and consultant. |
